Purchasing Art

Purchasing fine art has become a complicated process. Fine art is sold as a physical object that has intellectual property rights. Property rights are governed by copyright law. Fine art may be purchased with no rights, some rights, or all rights. Copyrights are transferred through a written agreement between two or more parties. Midair Studio offers prints to those interested in purchasing art with no copyright transferal and no complicated paperwork. Some states have laws requiring documentation when art ownership over a certain dollar value ($100 in many instances) is transferred. The document discloses the origin of the art and other pertainment information. Midair Studio attempts to satisfy all state requirements when transferring ownership of art. Limited editon prints are offered with a Certificate of Authenticity. Original, commissioned, or custom art may be purchased with or without copyright transferal. Licensing agreements are a type of copyright transferal.

Payment
Orders payable in United States dollars. Business/personal checks with proper ID, money order, cashiers check, credit card using PayPal.

When ordering please state clearly the quantity, order number, artist, title, description of each item, and payment method. Include your name and shipping address, phone and/or FAX number, and e-mail address.

Shipping
Shipping charges shall be added to all orders. Orders shall be shipped promptly. Personal checks may require 5-7 days until check clears bank.

Prints shall be shipped with the following charges added:
$8.50 for a 1 - 10 pound package.
Delivery to continental U.S., all others please inquire. Delivery by US Mail.

Framed art and large object shipping charges vary greatly. Items will be shipped after a shipping charge quote has been approved by the purchaser.

Next day delivery available on most merchandise. Please inquire for rates.

Return of Merchandise
Written permission must be obtained before returning merchandise. A 10% restocking charge may apply to certain items. See our Return Policy.
